St. Joseph's School is in the Diocese of Middlesbrough.  Our  local parish church is St. Joseph’s, Pickering.  Our priest is Father Bill East.  We have a close link with the parish.  As a consequence, there is a close involvement by the school within the parish generally.

Once a month Mass is celebrated for the children and staff of the school in St. Joseph’s Church, in which all the children are participants in one way or another.  There is an open invitation to all parents and guardians of children in the school and parishioners of St. Joseph’s to attend this celebration of the Holy Eucharist.

Father Bill East makes regular visits to the school in a pastoral capacity and is directly involved with making the arrangements for the children of Catholic families to receive the instruction relating to First Communion and Confirmation within the Catholic Church.  Father Bill East also conducts an assembly every Wednesday in school, which is enjoyed by all children and staff.

Social and Fund Raising events for Church or School benefit from this close family relationship.
